Drop your wildlings off for hours of muddy (and hopefully snowy! 🤞) adventures, self-directed play, nature crafts, free-expression, games, independent learning, skill building, bushcraft, tree climbing and so much more!

10am: The children are met at the gate by the forest school leader. They walk down to the woodland together and start the day with a woodland game. A talking circle gives everyone the chance to meet each other, hear what activities are on offer and understand safety rules.

12pm: At the middle point of the session, we will all stop to enjoy a tasty campfire cooked meal and dessert (all food and drink adheres to the school food standards).

Throughout the day:

At all times, extra healthy snacks, fruit and bread and water will be available.

Children are free to take part in any activities they choose or they are welcome continue play with friends in the woodland. Activities will include christmas crafts, bushcraft skills and woodland games. All sessions are rooted in forest school principles.

At the end of the day the children and leaders gather together the hear what each other have done through the day, to reflect on new skills and celebrate achievements.

2pm: The children will be walked from the wood by the Forest School leaders and brought to the school's gated entrance to be collected by parent/carers.

Clothing requirements

Please ensure that your child/ren are dressed appropriately for the weather. Forest School will take place in all weathers excepting high winds or storms. If children are dressed inappropriately they will not be able to enjoy the session and fully experience the sessions.

Cold weather - loose thin layers that can trap warmth. Warm boots, hats, gloves and thick outer layer. Wet weather - waterproof boots and outer layer. Hat and gloves.
