Parent Volunteer Induction

Thank you for your interest in supporting our Forest School!
We’re excited to welcome parent volunteers to be a part of our outdoor learning adventures. This induction training is essential for all parents who wish to assist during Forest School sessions.

During this short, interactive session, you’ll be introduced to the ethos of Forest School, our approach to child-led outdoor learning, and important safety protocols. You’ll also learn how you can best support children in exploring, playing, and learning in nature.

What to expect:

• An overview of Forest School principles

• Health & safety guidance, including risk awareness

• Volunteer roles and responsibilities

• Time for questions and discussion

Duration: Approximately 1.5 hours
Location: Strunch Hill Woods, Doddington Estate
What to bring: Outdoor clothing suitable for the weather, sturdy shoes or boots, and a willingness to get involved! Children welcome to attend alongside parents.

This training is a one-time requirement for volunteering and must be completed before attending Forest School sessions as a helper.
